Nusa Penida is an island located southeast of Bali, Indonesia. This island is part of the three Nusa island group, namely Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Nusa Penida has amazing natural beauty, with exotic beach views, towering coral cliffs and clear sea water.
This island is famous for being a paradise for divers and snorkelers, because of its beautiful coral reefs and underwater biodiversity. Some popular places in Nusa Penida include Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong, and Crystal Bay. Kelingking Beach is famous for its cliff views that resemble the shape of a T-Rex's head, while Broken Beach is a natural bay formed due to coral erosion.
Apart from its natural beauty, Nusa Penida also has interesting holy places and temples to visit, such as Pura Dalem Ped, Pura Goa Giri Putri, and Pura Paluang. Pura Goa Giri Putri is famous for its sacred cave, while Pura Paluang has unique architecture with various Balinese carvings and ornaments.
Nusa Penida is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination in Bali, but still maintains its beauty and authenticity. Access to this island can be reached by boat from Bali, with a travel time of around 30-45 minutes from Sanur Harbor.
