Using a Suica IC Card to Board the Train:
- After getting a Suica IC Card, you no longer need to queue to buy a train ticket. You simply press the card on the ticket reader to enter the entrance
- The fare is calculated automatically at the station where you get off. If the balance is insufficient, you must add more money to your Suica IC Card
- Please note: Additional tickets must be purchased to use the Suica IC Card to travel on limited express or Green Car. Shopping:
- The Suica IC Card can also be used for shopping
- You can make purchases on trains and also vending machines, to rent coin lockers, and to shop at convenience stores and restaurants. You can refer to website to see where you can use the card to make purchases. Just go straight to the Shopping section
Charging Suica IC Card:
- Suica IC Card can be filled and used as many times as desired
- Can be filled up to a maximum of 20,000 yen at Automatic Ticket Vending Machines and Fare Adjustment Machines with the Suica logo
- Only yen in cash that can be used to top up the card. Credit cards cannot be used to top up
